The Lonely Life of a SETI Enthusiast

Image
Years ago, there were Maytag appliance advertisements focusing on their dependability and the loneliness of the unneeded repairman . Similar but also different for SETI enthusiasts. Initial excitement, hopes, and dreams need constant rekindling — without good reasons. The Wow! Signal in 1977 kept scientists hoping that they had some kind of signal from intelligent extraterrestrials. It took many years to find out that the so-called signal was just hydrogen acting up. Then there was the time that scientists were fooled about ET signals that were actually from a microwave oven . Scientists studying space alien, made with  Bing AI Image Creator Kind of like being teased, but there is no entity behind the teasing. Indeed, secular scientists desperately want to find intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. They seem to think it would vindicate their rejection of the Creator in favor of evolution. The James Webb Space Telescope was sent partly in hopes of finding support for the Big Bang

Secularists Make Excuses for No Space Aliens

Image
Lisa Myworries, supervisor of the Winkie Guards at the Darwin Ranch, recently mentioned having problems. Someone on the staff was selling peyote buttons to the Guards. She said it was difficult enough to keep them on task, then someone gets that stuff to them. The ranch hands hallucinate, which explains some of their Just-So Stories in the name of evolutionary science. Space aliens are the imaginary invisible friends of secularists, and both the ranch hands and the Guards think they are talking to the aliens. Scientists studying space alien, made with Bing AI Image Creator It is a reasonable conclusion that materialists put so much time, money, and effort into finding extraterrestrial life is that they believe it would prove not only evolution, but also a Creator-free origin of life. Think about it: Origin of life studies are not going forward; they are disjointed. Mayhaps someone should ask Dave Farina why their is no unity and so much failure in OoL research. All that wasted educati

SETI, Evolution, and Victorian Mythology

Image
Out at the Darwin Ranch, some owlhoots in the SETI and Space Alien Propaganda bunkhouse have been dreaming up stuff that is...truly bizarre. It has been obvious that SETI has existed for many years, funded by tax money and then contributions. Still, nothing to show for it . This child believes that SETI and all of those other efforts to find extraterrestrials (including the pseudoscience of astrobiology ) are based on atheistic naturalism. The heart of that is atoms-to-astronaut evolution, which must be propped up at all costs. Pixabay / J. Lynne Hardesty How about another heapin' helpin' of nothing? There have been plenty of false alarms in searches for extraterrestrials (my favorite is the excitement caused by a microwave oven in the break room ), and all they provide are excuses. This stuff can be traced to the fanciful attitudes of progress back in Victorian times. Back then, things were looking mighty peachy. Moving forward, making discoveries, industrializing, and yee haw

SETI Shutdown and Feral Faith

Image
We have seen that SETI is committed, using materialistic and evolutionary presuppositions, to finding signs of alien intelligence in the universe using radio signals. Although universal common descent evolution is shambolic, somehow finding ET phoning from home would validate evolution. Credits: Modified from Clker Clipart and an image from NASA (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) Atheistic naturalism has metastasized throughout many sciences and in academia, and evolutionists have even created their own pseudoscience called astrobiology .  (How they can call something a science when nothing actually exists to study is beyond me.)  Some secularists hold to the  bizarre belief of  panspermia ,  where life was seeded on Earth, one way or another, from outer space.  You people want evidence of a higher intelligence from beyond this here planet of ours? Take a look at DNA. Our Creator made that, and it's clear evidence of his superior intelligence. Mean

SETI Wasting Money and Resources

Image
It is eminently logical that one cannot locate something that does not exist. The fun people at the Search for Extra-terrestrial Intelligence outfit have spent many years and mucho dinero searching and hoping that space aliens are saying, "Howdy, Earth folks!" But they come up empty, and want more. Alien image credit: Pixabay / 024-657-834 Frame and other items: PhotoFunia What would they do with an alien if they found one? According to the pronouncements of deep time proponents, any signals we might receive would have been sent many years ago. Maybe they should get with the people who believe that Uncle Xaphizd and his companions have been living among us for a mighty long time. It's on YouTube, so it must be true. Biblical creationists contend that there are no intelligent life forms in outer space, and that secularists are riding at full gallop to try to find some sign of ET life because they think it would validate atoms-to alien evolution so they can deny t

Aliens and Evolutionary Indoctrination

Image
We have seen many times on this site as well as others providing creation science material that secularists are mighty fond of space aliens. However, their invisible friends have never been seen, but folks still believe in them by faith. Aliens are also used for propaganda purposes in the drive of naturalists to support their presuppositions that the Creator does not exist. Interesting that they deny God because they claim there is no evidence (Rom. 1:18-23), yet insist on believing in aliens. Makes perfect sense in their paradigm. Background image furnished by Why?Outreach Darwin's followers have had a wonderful time making chin music and publishing research papers about dinosaur bones. Museums are chock full of incomplete skeletons with missing bones added as well as artists' (mis)conceptions. Dinosaurs did exist, and evolutionists get on the prod when the problems (for them) of soft tissues and proteins are raised. They also get cranky when biblical creationists ups

Space Aliens and Worldviews

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen People have speculated about life on other worlds, whether in our solar system or farther away, for a long time. To hear some people talk, it is a certainty that life exists out there, thataway. There are people who sincerely, passionately, believe that space aliens can be found at Area 51. Credit: Pixabay / Matthias Wewering A good part of this alien enthusiasm comes from presupposing deep time and atoms-to-aliens evolution. Sure are a lot of stars up yonder, and there must  be many planets. On those planets, intelligent life must  have evolved and developed amazing space travel abilities. It's all in the numbers, right? via GIPHY Centuries ago (I'm feeling old today), I fully believed in space aliens. Did I have evidence? Not hardly! In fact, nobody has any actual hard evidence . Like evolution, there are assumptions leading to conclusions, circular reasoning, wishful thinking, and more. Interesting that many atheists believe in extraterre

No Hope for Finding Alien Life

Image
People have been wondering for ages if there is intelligent life around other stars. One of the most common speculations is that since there are so many stars out yonder, there must be  creatures living on them. The more scientists learn, the hope of finding alien life dwindles.  Credit: RGBStock / Phil Edon The main impetus for finding extraterrestrials is based on evolution. Secularists presume evolution must have happened, but they cannot explain the origin of life on Earth without the Creator. First of all, the number of planets is a guess. A few thousand have been found, but things get complicated. They have to be in the habitable (or "Goldilicks") zone where everything is just right as far as size and distance from the stars. Several planets have been considered. However, the stars they orbit tend to be mighty ornery cusses and the planets are of the wrong composition. Gas giants are out of the question. Many factors come together that require exoplanets to be

SETI Fans Cherish Failed Drake Equation

Image
Evolutionists have their invisible imaginary friends that they call extraterrestrial beings. Like dark matter, they have never been scientifically observed but secularists believe in them anyway. This is probably because they know abiogenesis is impossible on Earth, so it must have happened out there. Our Creator made Earth a special place, and they don't take kindly to that fact. One concept to justify belief in ETs is the Drake equation. Credit: RGBStock/ Dez Pain Alien enthusiasts do not have much hope, as it seems that every time NASA comes up with more exoplanets, their hopes are dashed (such as those around TRAPPIST-1 , for example). Indeed, the habitable zone is fraught with problems . Unlike it's smarter brother the Fermi Paradox , Drake's equation looks very math-like. It was illogical and unscientific from the get-go, but it is still dogma for SETI folks; you could fly a starship through the holes in it. Secular astrophysicist throws down on the Drake equati

Searching for Space Aliens Increasingly Preposterous

Image
Once again, the hands at the Darwin Ranch over at Deception Pass have been gnawing on the peyote buttons. Huge amounts of money are being spent on SETI and other efforts to find their imaginary friends: space aliens. They reckon that if intelligent life is out there, wants to be found, and has a hankering to talk with us, that would justify their faith in evolution and rejection of the Creator. Background image furnished by Why?Outreach (click for larger) After all, since life cannot happen by chance here, so it must have happened out there and made its way here later. That does not solve the abiogenesis problem. I heard a phrase that applies: they're just kicking the can down the road. The SETI people are acting like a cult, using intelligently-designed equipment to search for signs of intelligence from creatures that were supposedly not formed by intelligence. A "study" suggests that aliens might be purple. Why is that? What is the evidence, since nobody has

Astrobiology and the Other Richter Scale

Image
Purveyors of universal common ancestor evolution cannot explain the origin of life on Earth, so they give the problem to their imaginary invisible friends, the space aliens. Evolutionists presuppose their belief system, and then insist that life must have not only originated, but evolved somewhere far away. Then they want to commence with conversation. That's assuming the aliens exist, are advanced enough to receive and send signals, everyone's using the proper signals, they want to talk in the first place, and so on. Not to mention the time lag, since they are supposedly zillions of light years away. Credit: Pixabay / VirajTamakuwala There was a time that people played the odds (the so-called Fermi Paradox ) and insisted that life had to exist on other worlds. Problem is, the more scientists learn about the hazards of space and the "habitable zone", the less likely those odds are going to play out. From a biblical creationist perspective, most of us reject ET

Silliness in Searching for Aliens

Image
Things are getting silly with the hands at the Darwin Ranch, down Deception Pass way. They are so certain of their presuppositions about evolution, they assume  that it happened both on Earth and way out yonder, thataway. (Worse, they assume  that the origin of life began in space as well.) But they're used to believing in things without evidence, such as the Oort cloud  (some think the fantastical death star "Nemesis" stirs up the mythical Oort cloud), and believing fish-to-fish farmer evolution itself. So, betting on the odds of their own fantasies that some intelligent life must  be out there, some folks keep looking. Credit: Pixabay /  Stefan Keller Some scientists want us to keep mum about our presence, as bad things could happen. Others are determined to go ahead and broadcast into space, even setting dates by which we would be contacted — but those speculators would be long gone so they don't have to own up to their errors. Danger from the Space Aliens?

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen About halfway through an episode of The Briefing (you can listen or read the transcript here ) , Dr. Mohler lassoed my attention with remarks about Dr. Stephen Hawking and about Time magazine. The subject was threats to the survival of humanity. Some people think that meeting up with aliens would be bad medicine, and not just coming here illegally, getting welfare, stealing our jobs, and so on. No, they might commence to raiding or even eating us. (Indeed, Carl Sagan thought that issuing cyanide pills for first alien contact was a good idea.) Stephen Hawking is also off the rails, even more than when he said that in regards to extraterrestrials, we should " keep our heads low ". Image from Clker clipart Now Dr. Hawking is saying we gotta light a shuck out of here within 100 years if we're gonna survive. Naturally, he plays the climate change card, as well as several other disasters. In addition, he is still afraid of space aliens and a

Alienated Over Extraterrestrials

Image
People have an odd fascination for space aliens. While there have been some documented UFO sightings, there has been no solid evidence that extraterrestrials are using the things. Aliens are frequent subjects in New Age buffet-style religious prattling, where people claim to receive messages from them that promise great things for humanity. Of course, they're more "highly evolved" and much older than humanity, and reject God. Credit: Pixabay / JavierRodrigues Mixed with the fascination and hope is fear. The presupposition is that evolution happened on Earth, there must be multitudes of highly-advanced and more evolved alien civilizations out yonder — and they may not cotton to having us sharing the universe with them. Stephen Hawking is a famous physicist, but he's also an unbeliever and an evolutionist. He assumes that they are more evolved than us, and may be dangerous. Keep a low profile, humanity, and cool it with that SETI stuff, you savvy? War of the Wor

Evolution, Aliens, Religion — Wackiness Ensues

Image
If you study on it for a spell, you'll notice that secularists have double standards, especially related to anything Christian or creationist: When we teach our children about biblical creation, we're "indoctrinating" them. When government-run secularist education centers give them materialistic and evolutionary material for several hours a day over a period of years, they're "educating" them. When evolutionists disagree about hypotheses and models, it's good for science. When creationary scientists disagree with each other or offer other possible interpretations of evidence, well, creationists cannot get along with each other. When atheists and evolutionists attack Christians and creationists, they're being "rational". When creationists present evidence and refute the attacks, we're "right wing extremist s" and " science deniers". When using quotes of evolutionists admitting they have problems, it's &q

Evolution Propaganda, SETI, and Closed Minds

Image
Like any totalitarian worth his salt knows, target the young with propaganda. Current evolutionist trends include having children write rap songs about the origin of life (we told you that the OOL is not separate from evolution, the American Association for the Advancement of Science approves of the children's lyrics). They are also using comic books and zombies. Well, sure, use something trendy to lasso a child's interest. When Christians tell their children that God is the Creator and life has meaning, atheopaths call that child abuse. But when Darwinistas promote their "you're a product of mindless evolution and life has no meaning" view, that's "science". Sure, makes perfect sense to some people, for some odd reason. There are some concerns about SETI making contact with alien intelligence because they may not be such nice fellas to ride the trail with ( as I discussed here ). "Don't worry, by the time they get the signals, figure

Failure to Find Extraterrestrials

Image
Two obvious things are involved in the search for alien life, and both are based on evolutionary ideas. First, it would make evolutionists who pushed the origin of life problem off our planet feel vindicated because they would assume that life originated by chance "out there". Second, they could validate the huge expenditure of money over the years in their search. Of course, there are astronomical problems involved in detecting signals from space since they would take a very long time to get here. Then there would be the difficulty of deciphering the signals as well. Some of us think that perhaps it is not such a good idea to make contact with a "more highly evolved" life form . Others believe that there are no aliens because of theological reasons. Of course, that does not stop evolutionists from grossly misrepresenting the positions of some Christians  or from using convoluted "reasoning" to defend their dishonesty . EDIT: I did an article on the

SETI: Array for Tax Dollars!

Image
The SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) Institute ( not  involved in UFO research) uses radio telescopes in the Allen Telescope Array (ATA) to search for signals from space that indicate alien intelligence. They want tax dollars to fund their research, and made the outlandish promise that they will  find extraterrestrial life in the near future so they can get the money. NASA/JPL-Caltech There are several reasons for this confidence (or arrogance, or even a con game). These include a great deal on luck, and the presupposition that evolution is a fact (it must have  happened "out there"). Naturalistic assumptions are fanciful at best. Perhaps if they increased their membership drive (individual memberships begin at $50 USD), they would not need to make every pay for their evolutionary fantasies. In hopes of keeping funding flowing, the SETI Institute promised US congresspersons that scientists will find extraterrestrial life in our lifetime. According
