Mars, Moon Continue to Baffle Secular Geologists

There have been numerous instances where secular scientists have been amazed when the facts do not fit their assumptions. This frequently happens in astronomy and cosmology. Conventional approaches of geologists and astronomers/cosmologists presuppose deep time, which often does not pan out.

A big push has been on to find signs of life way out yonder in the universe, and that would prove evolution in their minds. Exoplanets have secularists excited, as do some of the moons and planets in our own solar system. Mars and the moon are comparatively close, but they still cause consternation.

While secular cosmologists and astronomers turned their attention far away, much closer Mars and the moon caused them considerable difficulty.

A word about date ranges before we continue. When biblical creationists present evidence for a young earth, solar system, or universe, those dates are often upper limits. Remember when we touched on how misotheists criticize what they do not understand? Those uninformed criticisms happen regarding age limits.

For example, salinity in the oceans can be calculated to an age of sixty-two million years. Believers in deep time may say that it doesn't give a result of six thousand years or so that biblical creationists believe, but that's not the point. It is an upper limit, and is still far less than the 4.5 billion years that secular scientists demand. That is the point. You savvy?

Similarly, the moon is supposed to be geologically dead. Then activity was discovered. Glass beads were found and assigned an age of about 120 million years, which is not a good number in secular schemes.

There is supposed to be evidence for past oceans of water on Mars, but nobody can come up with a plausible explanation where it came from. Data being studied may indicate a recent megaflood. However, scientists played the climate change card! Sure, why not? The fearmongering at home is based on incomplete and poorly-understood information, so it's a good thing to project it to Mars.
Before digging into the news behind the headline, we must explain that “young” to secular geologists can mean millions of years. So entrenched is belief in Deep Time among moyboys, they cannot even conceive of solar system objects being really young the way ordinary people think of young.

The consensus geological timeline for the solar system is 4.5 billion years. If this timeline were portrayed on a 45-foot rope, a hundred million years would be one foot. So when geologists find features so “young” they are faced with the challenge of explaining what happened that recently in relative terms.

With that in mind, here are some anomalies discussed recently in geological literature.
